Zdeno Chara - NHL Hockey Score: Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs

Zdeno Chara capped the best month of his career with a goal and an assist as the Boston Bruins finished a near-perfect November with a 6-3 victory over the host Maple Leafs on Wednesday.

Chara's two-point effort gave him 14 points in November, the most he has ever had in any one month. His performance helped the Bruins finish with an incredible 12-0-1 mark for the month.

Milan Lucic scored twice and David Krejci added a goal and two assists as the Bruins beat Toronto for the third straight time this season. Boston has outscored the Leafs 19-5 in those contests.

With the score tied 1-1 after an entertaining 20 minutes, Krejci put the Bruins ahead at 3:33 of the second period, banging home a loose puck after Toronto failed to clear it out of the crease. It was his fourth goal of the season and second against the Leafs.

Joffrey Lupul tied things at the seven-minute mark, finishing off a 2-on-1 by one-timing a pinpoint pass from NHL scoring leader Phil Kessel. The goal extended his points streak to seven games.

Boston went back in front at 15:30. Krejci gathered a pass from Nathan Horton and fed the puck to Chara, who wired a shot that beat Jonas Gustavsson low on the stick side.

Boston's Benoit Pouliot and Toronto's Matt Frattin exchanged goals early in the third period before Lucic put the game away, converting from in close with 4:39 remaining. Brad Marchand added an empty-netter in the final minute.
